UIE
Founded in 1951, the UNESCO Institute for Education (UIE) is a non-profit international research, training,
information, documentation and publishing centre of
UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). One of six educational
institutes of UNESCO, UIE focuses mainly on adult and
continuing education, adult literacy and non-formal basic education in the perspective of lifelong learning.
