Are we to assume that more concise is always better? What about the spontaneous generation of information
andlearning that comes about when discussions are not
carefully thought out and formatted? And in the case of theprofessor who teaches off the cuff is this
more a matter of this professors style? Such profesfors do receive
publicscrutiny. Often students complain to their counselors or warn other students to stay away from
such professors ifossible. Disorganized professors with poor
instructional methods remain because of the university system of tenure andits accompanying emphasis
on publishing. These same professors would present poorly
constructed online discussionsforcing us to read through reams of disorganied discussions.

are not carefully thought out and formatted?
Can you back that up with some evidence? I don't recall having any professor who didn't follow their
lesson plan. Pulling out notes or transparancies that have been in
use since they received the textbook and developed their lecture for their first class. I have seen
them in movies though. We're talking facts when it comes to a lecture
to bein with some Robin Williams improved burst of brilliance isn't that likely to occur in my opinion.
